Referral Mastery Tip of the Month
Respond in times of challenge
Demonstrate your commitment in time of need
If you have clients who live or have property in the areas affected by the hurricane, this is a time of special need. Be proactive. Find out what you can do.
What can you do?
First, check in to see if your clients are ok. Find out what special needs they have. They may need access to medication, someone to repair their home or boat, grief counseling, or someone to contact a family member. Work your network of relationships to find resources they need.
If they have property that is damaged, they may have a sudden need for cash or financing. Find out what offerings are available through your firm or elsewhere and let them know. At the very least you can provide a reassuring voice to let them know they are not alone.
Act quickly.
For our readers in the affected areas, our prayers are with you.

In an earlier Referral Mastery Tip and Tele-seminar, we reviewed the importance of understanding your clients' objectives and securing client agreement on the structure and the strategy of the portfolio. We also covered how to use client reviews to address client disappointment and re-affirm the portfolio objectives, structure, and strategy. (Or risk management objectives, strategies, and policies)
